Spell Generator

After playing around with the idea of using a metal band name generator for spell lists, I ended up just writing my own generator to satisfy my preferences. A good portion of them are various flavors of summon spells, and of course a good chunk are nonsensical but that's just how things go with generators.

Dragon Generator

Weird murder-machine dragons now prowl the higher levels of Strigastadt. The generator is based on this one by E.G. Palmer. of hd (6 - 13)

Floorplan Generator

Image
I made a little floorplan generator because I decided my quick-and-dirty handmade floorplans were subpar and couldn't find generators that worked well for a convoluted Strigastadt building. The generator works pretty well and I'm happy with it, so I decided I'd share the code if other folks want to run it: [ link ]   It's written in Python and requires pygame to run; it'll spend like five seconds creating a map for you (or 30 if you configure for "huge" maps), and then save the image to the current directory and quit. I've commented a bit in it, and you can find some explained configurable options up at the top. If you run into issues or have any questions/comments just let me know! I'm happy to help. :) Small Map Large Map Huge Map The main downside is you have to add in the doors and room numbers yourself, but I couldn't see a way around the former. Doors have a big impact on the implied usage of the space, and I don't...

Spirit Generator

Image
Lost control during a risky seance? Found a room of Strigastadt not as empty as it appeared? Here is a generator for the spirits so encountered. of rank (up to 4) and in number. Note: determining what will appease a spirit is a task most easily accomplished by mediums or those otherwise connected to the realm of the dead. Even then it is a taxing and risky business.

Feverlings

Image
Sorcery is an imposition of the imagination onto reality. When the imagination is warped by mind-altering states, those with sorcerous gifts are particularly dangerous and unpredictable. Feverlings are occasional by-products of failed invocations and the accidental probings of the unconscious while the sorcerer is suffering from fever. They are physical manifestations of fever-dreams, creations of chaotic energy. Painting by Jody Siegel of one of his Shrikes  Also known as "Sorcerers' Children", feverlings are compelled to serve the being from whose mind they have sprung. Some sorcerers will deliberately ingest substances to induce a fever-state and call into being these servants, but this process is dangerous and easily results in a more calamitous failure. Feral broods of feverlings are frequent hazards when exploring realms once inhabited by sorcerers. Feverlings mature from their awkward larval form within a year, becoming lesser feverlings (stats of a goblin)...
